This page is now called "A Faith Stone to Remember" in honor of the old testament days when in the Book of Joshua chapter 4 verses 4 through 7 it says:
So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one from each tribe,
and said to them, “Go over before the ark of the LORD your God into the
middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his
shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’
tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the
covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the
Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of
Israel forever.” and in verses 20 to 24:
And Joshua set up at Gilgal the twelve stones they had taken out of the Jordan. He said to the Israelites, “In the future when your descendants ask their parents, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them, ‘Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground.’ For the LORD your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The LORD your God did to the Jordan what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is powerful and so that you might always fear the LORD your God.”

Due to an increase in my health insurance, my support goal increased and yet God has been faithful to provide Ministry Partners (MPs) who have offset that amount. So I am still currently in need of $1500/month.
Please prayerfully consider joining my support team that I may return to New Orleans and continue on in the work God has called me to there.
As a career missionary with the EFCA, my budget includes health insurance, retirement, service allocation, social security, any ministry expenses including travel, and my personal expenses. If you have any questions feel free to email me at katie.hooks@efca.org

God is moving!!!
I have currently $1500/month left to raise! close to 70% in monthly giving! This means 15 people at $100/month or 30 people at $50/month! Please pray and see if the Lord would lead you to partner with me in His Kingdom work and send me back to New Orleans! :)

Goal: To reach 100% of my monthly goal and to return to New Orleans for good by March 1st 2012! This leaves 7 weeks! God can do it! :)
God has truly shown me how He is faithful and sovereign when it comes to support raising. I've had current monthly supporters increase their giving, new churches get on board with support, and friends and families sacrificially give to further God's kingdom work through me! I cannot be more grateful to God and to those who have prayed and decided in their hearts to give! My prayer is that we both would grow in our walks with God as we give our time, talents, and treasure to see His will done on earth!
"Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, as it is written: “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little." 2 Corinthians 8:13-15
Monthly Giving Committed: $2500 out of $4600 = 54% of monthly goal!
This means I need $2100 more a month which breaks down to:
21 people at $100/month
42 people at $50/month
Please pray about how you can come alongside me in God's kingdom work to invest in the next generation of Christian leaders and in the mission field that follows crisis! Please help me live out the calling God has put on my life and send me back to New Orleans! :)
