Sometimes God speaks to me through various songs I hear...and because I've been traveling a lot via my car, I hear a lot of good stuff. I pray these songs speak to you as they have for me!

I've been trying to run more to songs that keep my mind focused on my Lord and Savior and while running this week the hymn came on "Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus" and thought I'd share the lyrics and the youtube video by casting crowns for yall! Hope you remember too how sweet it is to trust in Jesus!

This is Steady My Heart by Kari Jobe
This song has meant a lot with the whole housing situation going on and not knowing when I'll move into Ms. Val's and having to truly trust God that in His perfect timing, His power will turn the power on at her home. I kept saying before "this was suppose to be the easiest move...just across the street" and turns out it has been my most challenging. But that's okay, God steadies my heart during this time and has provided so much in the meantime that I know He's got me right inside the palm of His hand!
Wish it could be easy
Why is life so messy
Why is pain a part of us
There are days I feel like
Nothing ever goes right
Sometimes it just hurts so much
But You're here
You're real
I know I can trust You
Even when it hurts
Even when it's hard
Even when it all just falls apart
I will run to You
Cause I know that You are
Lover of my soul
Healer of my scars
You steady my heart [x2]
I'm not gonna worry
I know that You got me
Right inside the palm of your hand
Each and every moment
What's good and what gets broken
Happens just the way that You plan
And I will run to You
You're my refuge in Your arms
And I will sing to You
Cause of everything You are
You steady my heart

- ’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
And to know, “Thus saith the Lord!”- Refrain:
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er;
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!
- Refrain:
- Oh, how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
And in simple faith to plunge me
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood! - Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace. - I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

Heard this song quite a bit this week. Hope you see all that God is and how He forever reigns! My heart will sing no other name, Jesus Jesus...
Hillsong "Forever Reign"
You are good, You are good
When there's nothing good in me
You are love, You are love
On display for all to see
You are light, You are light
When the darkness closes in
You are hope, You are hope
You have covered all my sin
You are peace, You are peace
When my fear is crippling
You are true, You are true
Even in my wandering
You are joy, You are joy
You're the reason that I sing
You are life, You are life,
In You death has lost its sting
Oh, I'm running to Your arms, I'm running to Your arms
The riches of Your love Will always be enough
Nothing compares to Your embrace
Light of the world forever reign
You are more, You are more
Than my words will ever say
You are Lord, You are Lord
All creation will proclaim
You are here, You are here
In Your presence I'm made whole
You are God, You are God
Of all else I'm letting go
Oh, I'm running to Your arms I'm running to Your arms
The riches of Your love Will always be enough
Nothing compares to Your embrace
Light of the world forever reign
My heart will sing no other Name
Jesus, Jesus

Shawn McDonald "Open Me"
This is my prayer as I head back to NOLA and everyday after.
Would You open up eyes, so I can see
Would You open up my ears, so I can hear
Would You open up my mind, so I can know
Would You open up my heart, so I could love You more
I want to serve You, my God
I want to give All of Me,
I want to serve You, my King, yeah
I want to serve You, my Lord
I want to give You everything, yeah
Would You open up eyes, so I can see
Would You open up my ears, so I can hear
Would You open up my mind, so I can know
Would You open up my heart, so I could love You more
I want to serve You, my God
I want to give You everything
I want to serve You, my King, yeah
I want to serve You, my LOrd
I want to give You everything, Yeah
Here I am with my arms open wide
Asking for You to come up, up inside
Won't You make me new, won't You make me true?
Jesus, won't You make me like You?
Would You touch my eyes, so I can see
Would You touch my ears, so I can hear
Would You touch my mind, so I can know
Would You touch my heart, so I could love You more
Won't You open me
Won't You open me, open me
Won't You open me, open me
Won't You open me

Building 429 "Where I Belong"
As I was headed to the airport on Monday, leaving New Orleans yet again, this song came on the radio. What a great reminder that it's really not even New Orleans I belong but I belong in eternal fellowship with my Lord and Savior! It was just the perspective I needed as I do desire to be in New Orleans but to have an even greater desire to dwell with my Heavenly Father for all eternity!
I have this blessed assurance holding me
All I know is I'm not home yet
This is not where I belong
Take this world and give me Jesus
This is not where I belong...
May these verses be true of me: Philippians 1:21-26
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me.

Jeremy Camp's "Overcome" http://youtu.be/FqXZD_z3eCc
Sometimes I get caught up in my mini-victories of doing well at work, getting closer to 100% support, making a goal and completing it and I start to wear my victor's crown...but really there is ONE victory that surpasses them all and Jesus has overcome everything and every victory is His! He is the true victor and His victory over sin has made a way for us to share in His victory.
So now I'm thinking..what type of victory do I want to see in my life? I want to see Christ's victory in the lives of those who don't know Him. I want that to be my motivation for why I live. To see Christ's victory over lost souls. His victory is what it's all about. Christ has already overcome. His victory has been achieved for us. Now we must go out, "with the blood of the Lamb, and the word of our testimony" to show everyone they can overcome because Christ has the victory.
Psalm 108:13 says "With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies."
This verse reminds me that we will never see any victory without God. As we go out, we must rely on God and His Spirit to lead and guide us into the Victory.
